Family Law Drop in Clinics at Drummond Miller

We know that legal advice can be expensive and sometimes you’d just like to speak to someone with no obligation, to get an idea of how best to go forward. You might want to know what your entitlements are financially if you are separating from your husband or wife, if there is a way to safeguard assets that you take into a marriage with you or what you can do to ensure that you get to spend some time with your children.
We offer free family law drop in advice sessions across our offices to assist people who are looking for some initial advice about what to do next. At these sessions, we provide general family law advice relating to your situation. Each session lasts around 10 to 15 minutes and you will meet with one of our compassionate family law solicitors. We cover areas such as divorce, financial matters upon separation and issues relating to child contact, residence and protection.
Our sessions started out a few years ago at our Dalkeith office and are well attended. We have since started up our clinic in the Musselburgh office in 2022 and in 2023 at our Edinburgh office. 2024 saw us take our clinic on the road and we teamed up with the Citizens Advice Bureau in Haddington to reach out wider within the East Lothian Community.
Our clinics take place as follows and no appointments are required in advance:
Musselburgh – the first Monday of every month 4pm – 5pm (last entry 4.45pm) – 6th May 2024
Edinburgh – the second Thursday of every month 4pm – 5pm (last entry 4.45pm) – 2nd May 2024
Haddington CAB – the last Tuesday of every month 4pm – 5pm (last entry 4.45pm) – 30th April 2024
